About the event
This event is taking place as part of Cruinniú na nÓg 2024. Explore the full programme here.
Young people from the Crumlin area have been learning how to repair, care and share their clothes for a better environment.
Over the course of 6 sessions, youth participants aged 13-16 years old from Rialto Youth Project have been taking part in a series of inspiring and practical workshops with CCC where they have been building their repair, mending and upcycling skills to share with their peers.
The young people have a passion for creative design and circular fashion and want to table the negative social and environmental impacts caused by our consumption.
Participants will be running their own swap shop in St Andrew's Resource centre, where they will also be showing styling techniques and teaching mending and upcycling skills. This event is for any young people aged 18 and under.
Attendees can expect to leave feeling inspired and motivated to take similar actions in their own communities!
